Diallel Analysis for Yield and Quality Characteristics in Melon

Aims: To estimate the effects of general and specific combinatorial fitness in parents progeny on yield fruit quality related traits melon.
 Study Design: A completely randomized block design with three replications was used to analysis variance combining ability (GCA) (SCA). The genetic carried out based Griffing Method II dialelic (1956) fixed model. Tukey P=.05 mean comparison analysis.
 Place Duration Study: research conducted two stages. In stage 1, seed production crosses at Physiotechnical Greenhouse Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro, Saltillo, Coahuila. Mexico, between April July 2021. 2, evaluation August November 2021 agricultural field "La Jaroza", Paila, México.
 Methodology: present study, seven melon were analyzed. crossed all possible combinations, without reciprocal crosses, resulting 21 progenies, a total 28 genotypes evaluated.
 Results: results showed significant differences genotypes, (GCA SCA) for almost variables, except number. parent "(E x L)" best GCA effects, participated most outstanding yield, average weight, length, width, flesh thickness, cavity soluble solids. "N (E excelled weight SCA.
 Conclusion: SCA.
